"Likely to Appoint Armstrong As a Key Position"

Trump Set to Secret Meeting With Coinbase CEO
Trump will hold a private meeting with Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong to discuss cooperation.

Bloomberg reported on Nov. 18 that Trump announced a closed-door meeting with Armstrong, and that the main theme of the meeting is the possibility of appointing Armstrong's position within the second Trump administration.

Earlier, when he was a presidential candidate, Trump announced the launch of an administration that will actively support the cryptocurrency industry.

In fact, Trump, who was elected as the 47th U.S. president, is deploying 'pro-crypto figures' throughout his administration. Last week, Trump appointed Matt Gates, a pro-Bitcoin figure, as the next attorney general of the administration, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk as the head of the 'Government Efficiency Committee'.

'Presidential advisory commission' is being discussed as a likely position for Armstrong CEO. Trump pointed to the design of cryptocurrency regulatory guidelines in the United States as a major task of the administration he will launch and predicted that he will launch the presidential advisory commission for this purpose. Cryptocurrency community is considering that Armstrong CEO will be a very necessary figure for the organization.

Coinbase was deeply involved in the 47th U.S. presidential election with the aim of launching a cryptocurrency-friendly administration. It has donated more than 100 million dollars to political action committees (PACs), and most of it has been delivered to the cryptocurrency support group 'Fairshake'.
