1. Chainalysis "Middle East Expand Cryptocurrency Transaction Volume by Institutional Investors"
In a report published by blockchain analysis platform Chainalysis on Sept. 26, it said that the Middle East accounts for about 7.5% of the global cryptocurrency transaction volume due to active trading by institutional investors. According to a report by Chainalysis, the cumulative cryptocurrency transaction that occurred in the Middle East over the past year was $338.7 billion, with most of the transactions coming from institutions and professional investors. About 93% of transactions in the Middle East were more than $10,000, with only about 1.8% of individual investors in the Middle East.
2. Mark Cuban "Hopeful to be chairman of the SEC of Harris Administration"
Billionaire investor and cryptocurrency-friendly entrepreneur Mark Cuban expressed his wish to become chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) following the regime change in an interview with foreign cryptocurrency media Decrypto on Sept. 26. Cuban expressed his public support for the Harris administration and said he wants to replace Gensler, the current chairman of the SEC, if the Harris administration takes office.
3. Dubai Revises Legislation to Mandate Speculative Labeling for Cryptocurrency Companies
The Dubai Cryptocurrency Regulatory Agency(VARA) added a clause in the cryptocurrency bill on Sept. 26, making it mandatory for cryptocurrency promotion companies to mark the speculative nature of cryptocurrency investments in the process of promoting projects. The legal provisions updated by VARA stated that cryptocurrency promotion companies must specify the phrase "Investors may experience all or part of their assets due to cryptocurrency investments and may experience extreme price volatility" in their promotional projects.
4. Gensler, SEC Chairman, "Bitcoin, Not Securities…DeFi Will Be Incorporated to Securities Act"
SEC Chairman Gary Gensler reaffirmed his position that Bitcoin(BTC) is not a security at U.S. Treasury Market Conference on Sept. 26. Gensler then said that DeFi will be included in the legal provisions related to 'Securities Exchange' in the U.S. securities law.
5. Tron Launches NFT Platform 'NFT Pump'
On Sept. 26, founder Justin Suntron announced the launch of the Tron-based NFT launch platform 'NFT Pump' through his X account.
