1. Crypto.com CEO Drops SEC Litigation After Meeting With Trump
Crypto.com CEO Chris Mazalek dropped a lawsuit against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC), which he filed in October last year after holding a meeting with Trump at Trump's home on Dec. 17. Mazalek revealed on his X account that he held a meeting on the cryptocurrency industry in the new administration at Trump's home in Florida. Earlier in October last year, Crypto.Com was notified of the "Wells Notice" that takes place before formal prosecution by the SEC and later filed a lawsuit against the SEC.

2. BlackRock 'IBIT' Becomes the Most Successful ETF in a Decade
BlackRock's Bitcoin(BTC) spot exchange-traded fund(ETF) 'IBIT' was found to have achieved a higher net inflow than ETFs launched in the past decade, including a net inflow of about $418.8 million on Dec. 16(local time). According to data released by financial data platform Faside Investor on Dec. 17, IBIT recorded a total net inflow of $36.3 billion since its launch, and none of the ETFs released in the U.S. after 2014 exceeded the figure in net inflows.

3. Anti-Crypto SEC Commissioner Pulls Out of SEC
Caroline Crenshaw, a member of the SEC who is an anti-black cryptic figure, was removed from the SEC on Dec. 18. Crenshaw was scheduled to vote on his second term at the Senate Banking Committee hearing on Dec. 18, but the hearing vote was suddenly canceled and Crenshaw's decision was made to leave the SEC. Crenshaw is a person who voted against the approval of Bitcoin spot ETFs and was at the forefront of litigation between Ripple and the SEC.

4. U.S. Treasury Posts List of UAE Companies Sanctioning North Korea for Money Laundering in Cryptocurrency
The Foreign Asset Control Bureau(OFAC), under the U.S. Treasury Department, put an UAE trading company on the list of sanctions on Dec. 18 that is believed to have helped North Korea launder money with cryptocurrency in the past through cooperation with the UAE government.
