'Japanese Strategy' Metaplanet announced on Feb. 13 that it has raised about 4 billion yen by selling 0% interest bonds to purchase additional Bitcoin(BTC) through its official X account. Metaplanet said it will recruit about 21,000 Bitcoin by 2026.
2. Coinbase Increases Revenue 88% In Q4 Last Year Due To Trump Elections
Coinbase's sales in the fourth quarter of 2024 increased by 88% compared to the previous quarter to $2.3 billion due to Trump's election as U.S. president. According to a financial report released by Coinbase on Feb. 13, Coinbase's sales and net profits in the fourth quarter of 2024 recorded about $2.3 billion and $1.3 billion, respectively, reaching $439 billion in trading volume.
3. Bank of Montreal Expands U.S. Bitcoin ETF Hold To $150 Million
According to a report submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) by the Bank of Montreal(BMO), a major Canadian financial institution, on Feb. 13, the bank invested a total of 150 million dollars in the U.S. Bitcoin Spot Exchange Fund(ETF). The bank expanded its investment in the U.S. bitcoin spot ETF by about 13 million dollars compared to the previous quarter. The bank's operating assets are about $1 trillion.
