Citing Ripple Labs' application on the 25th of last month, Cointelegraph, a media outlet specializing in cryptocurrency, reported on Mar. 18 that Ripple Labs classified the purpose of Ripple Custody as ▲cryptocurrency custody ▲financial service development ▲P2P transaction ▲cryptocurrency transaction.
2. Brazilian Lawmaker Submits Bitcoin Payroll Bill..."Up to 50%"
A Brazilian lawmaker has proposed a bill that can be paid in cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin(BTC), as a salary for work in Brazil. Cointelegraph reported on Mar. 18 that Luis Philippe de Orléans proposed the bill 'PL 957/2025F' on Mar. 12 and included a provision that employers can pay up to 50% of their workers' salaries in cryptocurrency.
3. Canary Capital Submits Application for Approval of Sui Spot ETF
Canary Capital submitted an application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) on Mar. 17 to approve an exchange-traded fund(ETF) that follows Sui's spot price. The application for approval of Sui spot ETF, submitted by Canary Capital, included a provision that provides investors with the staking income of Sui.
4. OKX Suspends Web 3.0 Service Over Controversy Over Bybit Hacking
OKX announced the suspension of the OKX Web 3.0 service on Mar. 17 in response to the connection between the Web 3.0 Aggregator OKX Web 3.0 and the bybit hacking incident. Earlier last week, North Korea's hacking group Lazarus was caught using OKX Web 3.0 to launder money for cryptocurrency stolen from bybit.
