1. U.S. Senate Passes GENIUS Bill
The U.S. stablecoin regulation bill 'GENIUS Bill' passed the Senate on Jun. 18, recording a 68-30 vote in the final vote in the U.S. Senate. The GENIUS bill will be referred to the U.S. House of Representatives for review and debate following the passage of the U.S. Senate.

2. Bitcoin Falls Further on Possible U.S. Involvement in Middle East War
Bitcoin(BTC) fell further on the morning of the 18th as the possibility of U.S. involvement in the Middle East war increased. The White House held a National Security Council meeting on Jun. 18 to discuss whether the U.S. would intervene in the conflict in the Middle East. "We know exactly where Iran's supreme leader is hiding," President Trump said on his social media Truth Social. "Our patience is dwindling and Iran should surrender unconditionally!" Bitcoin fell about 3 percent to 104,000 dollars, and many altcoins also fell more than 4 percent due to the U.S. and Trump's warning to participate in the war in the Middle East.

3. Ripple-SEC Asks Court to Suspend Appeal
Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) filed a request to suspend the appeal to a U.S. court on Jun. 17, saying they will wait for further judgment from the court. The SEC is set to file a status report by Aug. 15.

4. JP Morgan Confirms Issuance Of Stablecoin 'JPMD' on Base
JP Morgan will issue its own stablecoin 'JPMD' on Coinbase's Layer 2 network 'Base'. Naben Malella, an executive at JPMorgan's blockchain division 'Kinexis', explained in an interview with Bloomberg on Jun. 18 that JPMD's pilot program has been confirmed and JPMD will be transferred from Base within a few days.
