2. U.S. SEC Announces Crypto Regulatory Initiative With Presidential Recommendations
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) announced its cryptocurrency regulation initiative 'Project Crypto' on Jul. 31. SEC Chairman Paul Atkins recently explained that he will announce an initiative with specific regulatory policies to regulate the cryptocurrency market in response to the recommendations of the presidential working group. Project Crypto contains provisions to support the active activities of cryptocurrency companies, including the introduction of a licensing system in the cryptocurrency market and the release of cryptocurrency(ICO).
3. Deutsche Bank-Backed Euro-Linked Stablecoins Launched
Euro-linked stablecoin 'EURAU' was released on Jul. 31. 'All Unity', a company founded by Deutsche Bank subsidiary DWS, Flow Traders and Galaxy Digital, announced that it will launch stablecoins that comply with the EU's integrated cryptocurrency regulation plan 'Mica'. EURAU will be issued by Ethereum Network(ERC-20) and plans to expand additional networks this year.
