SBI Holdings, Japan's largest financial group, has announced its plan to launch an exchange-traded fund(ETF) that can invest in Bitcoin(BTC) and XRP at the same time. SBI said in its corporate earnings report on Aug. 6 that it will launch a gold and cryptocurrency mixed ETF and a bitcoin and XRP mixed ETF to be listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2. Nomura Subsidiary Launches OTC Desk In Trading Legal Crypto Options In Dubai
On Aug. 6, Nomura Group subsidiary Razer Digital opened an OTC desk that provides cryptocurrency option trading in compliance with the pilot framework of the Dubai Cryptocurrency Regulatory Authority(VARA).
3. Global Cryptocurrency Payroll Acceptance Rate Triples in a Year
The number of people who receive cryptocurrency as a salary has tripled in the past year. Vancher Capital Panthera Capital conducted a survey of 1,600 people in 77 countries related to cryptocurrency, and about 9.6% of them are paid in cryptocurrency.
4. Coinbase Legal Team Meets Cooperation With Indian Government Agencies
Coinbase's legal team met with the Indian government's IT department on Aug. 6 to seek cooperation. Coinbase Legal General Paul Growal said he met with India's Deputy IT Minister Priyank Kharge to discuss ways for Coinbase to cooperate in developing India's cryptocurrency infrastructure.
